#RSSTQ No.4 Do you think that Streaming Audio or Videos is a poor use of bandwidth? [ For the Week of Feb 7th.. ]

- I used to run a BBS, back in the late 80's, Sending information from computer to another was painfully slow. If any of you recall the Joy of a 56k modem after dealing with 300 baud and the progression forward, you know exactly what i mean.  But it seems to me, that using the Internet to transfer things that an old analog machine AKA device did or does, and does fairly well is just a poor use of resources.

Granted Progress happens. Sometimes for the better, or not. Being able to get things on demand is a plus. Getting what you really like, and not having to sift through things that you don't care about is also a plus. I DO like Podcasts, and being able to DL things to view or listen to. But once it's on a local machine, I'm done with the transfer of data.
